Hottest day yet... 34 degrees the boys are thirsty!

8th July - All the Walls are standing on the basement level and and the boys all started to prepare for the floor today...

It was 35 degrees and the sun was beating down on them all, as you can see I now have a black man for a boyfriend.... and I love it.

6th July - All the frames arrived and Jade brought Julia down to see the progress the boys had on the first day of framing... The day we have been all waiting for.. Great Job guys!

The ceilings are high and the windows are big... it's going to be a great basement area!

Wow a wall is up... I cant believe it..

We are officially out of the Mud... 21 full days later it all worked out well!

5th July - Slab was laid, the crew did a great job... here is Dad come to see the and look at the finish, I couldn't believe how warm it was when you sat on it...

July 1st - In floor Heating and much more...

1st July - Materials start arriving.. for the finishings of the basement floor before the concrete is poured.

That same day the boys spend all day placing down the foam for the in floor heating... oh how it is going to toasty warm...

1st July still and Jade is just showing us that he is awesome and he loves this house...

Julia Brendan and Myself (Anna) cruised down to the block that same afternoon to take the picture... Here Brendan is showing off his scootering skill...

29 June - Darryl came back to the block to fill in all the frost walls and to get the house area ready for the boys to start preparing plumbing/electric pieces that needed to go in before the slab was to be laid. Brian came and worked hard to get this done for us...

Lots of Wheel Burrowing but they finally got it done... Long hard day for the boys

26th June - Leon poured the walls and we were preparing for our first inspection on the 27th so Dustin and Sheldon came around to help us get the Ag drain in and the peel and stick on the basement walls.. they did such a great job!
25th June - Finally making our way out of the mud.. Leon the cribber is done and finished

18th June - Just a few days later we start to see the house layout with just a few pods already layed down, we also came to the decision to NOT fill the garage and create a massive storage room underneath... this will end up being a really great choice in the long run.

16th June the footings were poured it was a big job but the boys all helped out and got it done... rain hail or shine.. and there definitely was not much shine...

15th June - Pods arrive for Leon to start on the basement footings and walls - Julia and Brendan show off how great these things are

15th June - Darryl digs the whole and we begin to see form and structure to our L shaped home. Amy & Mike came to visit and see the progress. Excitement begins to builds as things start moving fast...

14th June - Darryl Gold digger joins our little team and clears the block completely so that we can finally see everything and start marking out the house. All my little bushes are gone, it was hard to see it go but I have plans for my bamboo plantation.

The real burning continued that same day 15th March 2010...

The winter was so mild we were practically wearing t-shirts. Crazy Canadian weather!

15th March 2010 - Celebration took place our our dirt pile with Miriam's Bush party for her BIG 30th shindig...

Again we were burning away at the pile which helped make our lot look cleaner and cleaner!

Only two gatherings were held at the block before we came and demolished it in June...

On the 7th of January 2010 some of the local Wilder family and a few random friends joined up at the block for a weenie roast and to start burning some of our pile of sticks.

Kristie-Lee Russell and Alana were visiting from Australia at this time which made this occasion even better!
